After completing "Married in Song", I knew I wanted a remix of Longbody. I've been a fan of Drowse (Kyle Bates)'s dark, sparse, focused sound since I was a teenager. Years ago when we first met, Kyle and I bonded over a mutual love of Low, so having Alan Sparhawk featured on this track I thought Kyle would be the perfect person to work with. I set Kyle loose on Longbody shortly after he completed an MFA in electronic music and recording media at Mills College. All I asked before he started was that the remix sound "like him". I love what Kyle did to my song and I am grateful to call him a collaborator and friend.
